Do I need a referral to see a Specialist?

eth

Last Update 3 years ago

A Specialist is a physician specialist focuses on a specific area of medicine or a group of patients to diagnose, manage, prevent or treat certain types of symptoms and conditions. A non-physician specialist is a provider who has more training in a specific area of health care.

With many traditional health insurance policies, particularly HMO's, you will need a referral from your PCP before you can see a specialist. None of the plans featured on www.pogeehealthdirect.net  such a requirement and, if covered,  you can see a specialist when you feel you need to.
