Needs that come from conditions that existed prior to membership are only shareable if the condition was fully cured and did not require treatment or present symptoms for 24 months prior to membership effective date. This means that any illness or accident for which a person has been diagnosed, received medical treatment, been examined, taken medication for, or had symptoms of within 24 months prior to membership effective date are not shareable. For more information see pre-existing conditions definition. HOWEVER: High blood pressure, high cholesterol and diabetes (type 1&2) will not be considered a pre-existing condition as long as they have not been hospitalized for the condition in the past 12 months and able to control through medication or diet.

Please note: Needs that existed prior to membership may still qualify for sharing using the Additional Giving Fund.
